Suzanne provided a lot of useful information, tools, and suggestions on what to do if our pets get injured or sick. Her presentation was enjoyable and well organized. Our church members greatly benefited from her knowledge and experience working with pets.
I give her three paws!!!
It has been a true pleasure working with Suzanne. We cannot believe the change in Buddy and Bailey in the few short weeks she has been working with them. We never thought it was possible to train them, as they were so wild and ruled the house. Suzanne's loving and humane training methods have saved our lives. We thought that we would have to get rid of our beloved dogs with the baby coming, but Suzanne helped us to have a more orderly and serene home.
We love the way Suzanne breaks down training and customizes it to our dogs' behavior and problems instead of a cookie-cutter session, which some other trainers use. I interviewed several other companies and trainers and did not like their methods, nor did I like the impersonal treatment. I knew it was going to work from the day Suzanne came to do our evaluation and I saw Buddy and Bailey's reactions. They love to train with Suzanne and look forward to her visits.

Suzanne from StarPup has been watching my rabbits, fish, and sea monkeys while I travel. She has always done a good job caring for them. When I return home from a trip, I can always count on finding a clean cage and well-cared-for animals.
I highly recommend StarPup Solutions and feel fortunate to have a reliable pet sitting source for my busy schedule.

Suzanne did a great job of presenting Pet First Aid techniques at one of LI-DOG's recent meetings. Her discussion on critical techniques such as Canine CPR, the "doggy" Heimlich Maneuver, and how to stop bleeding was clear and concise. Suzanne provides a real service to pet owners. We definitely will ask her to present again at future meetings.
We were cautious about choosing a trainer for our four-month-old Brittany, Shiloh. We had spoken to trainers whose techniques were so harsh, i.e. shock collars, etc., and when we found Suzanne, we were thrilled.
Her approach was so gentle. She actually cares about the dogs--they're not just another client. From the first lesson, Shiloh loved her. Most importantly, she obeyed her, and soon she was obeying us!
Since Shiloh's "Graduation," she has not only followed our commands, but she has also stopped eating our furniture and shoes. Suzanne saved us and our table legs!

Suzanne's Interest in dogs extends beyond educating people and their pets. For over a year, Suzanne has volunteered her time working in the Behavior Department of the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world.
North Shore Animal League America rescues and places nearly 20,000 animals into loving homes each year. The process these animals go through to get to these homes can often be stressful and frightening. The Behavior Department helps animals through this transitional time by providing socialization along with mental and physical exercise. Suzanne's calm and confident manner helps these animals to once again build trust. Her non-reactive style is the perfect compliment to the more reactive dogs and allows the frightened submissive dogs to socialize at their own pace. Suzanne often assists in evaluating dogs being admitted to the facility, as well as dogs already in residence that may be experiencing difficulty adjusting to life in a shelter.
When the League's "Little Learners Preschool Program" was in need of staff, Suzanne once again lent her time and talent, not only in assisting at the weekly classes, but overseeing the "Graduation Day" festivities. Her devotion to the cause of homeless animals does not stop with the mutual reward of physical interaction. When Suzanne learned of some very special pups born with only two legs and a loving dog whose battle against pneumonia resulted in the partial removal of his lung, she used her talent as a writer to have their stories told.

I met Suzanne at a Pet First Aid lecture at a local church a few months ago. Her lecture was extremely informative--in fact, I learned more from her one hour talk than I did at a four hour class at a local college! Watching a film on CPR, which I did at the college class, was nothing compared to actually being able to practice first aid on CasPeR, Suzanne's CPR demonstration dog. I invited Suzanne to speak to the Dachshund group I belong to, and, once again, she did an excellent job explaining everything you need to know about dog first aid, focusing on the smaller dog, to accommodate the Dachshund group. Everyone left the lecture with new knowledge--what to do on the way to the vet and how to give "mouth to snout" resuscitation.

Suzanne has pet sit Sammy several times for me. Not only does she take care of my twelve-year-old boxer, she takes in the newspaper and mail and also water plants for no extra charge! I couldn't even think of putting my dog in a kennel. Home is where he belongs. He loves her. When she comes over he gets so excited. I know I can depend on Suzanne to take care of my senior dog and my home. She is extremely reliable and is there when I need her. I would recommend her to anybody who needs pet sitting!

I was so happy to find Suzanne. She was fantastic with my dog and cat. My dog Brittany has special needs--she is totally blind--and my cat Amelia is elderly, 16 years. Suzanne is caring and patient. Her priority is the welfare of the animals. I would totally recommend her for pet sitting. She is reliable and honest. I definitely plan on using her services again!
North Shore Animal League values all of the people who volunteer their time and energy to help improve the quality of life of homeless pets. Suzanne's contributions made a difference in the lives of the dogs in our care. Thank you Suzanne, for all of your time, talent, and efforts.
I came home from vacation to a happy and relaxed dog! In the past when I boarded Zoey (a West Highland Terrier) at a kennel, she showed signs of stress when I picked her up and was a nervous wreck for days. With Suzanne watching her, I returned to a happy and relaxed dog. She provided Zoey with playtime and exercise (three walks a day). Knowing that my little girl was being well taken care of by a certified pet sitter gave me total peace of mind while on vacation. Anybody who needs a pet sitter should use Suzanne from StarPup Solutions!

We first heard of Suzanne through a veterinarian recommendation. After rescuing our American Pit Bull Terrier "Halo" from Harlem, we were concerned about getting the right person to help train both her and ourselves with basic and advanced commands. Within the first few minutes of our initial evaluation, we were convinced that Suzanne was the perfect person for the job.

After a couple of sessions, we learned so many things that can help us train Halo to expand her knowledge of just "sit" and "paw." Suzanne's calm and composed demeanor was such a relief compared to what we've seen and heard about inhumane treatment and training. Not only did Halo respond to Suzanne, but our pup took to the training quicker than we could have ever expected!
As first time dog owners, we couldn't be happier with the progress Halo has made so far and we are now armed with the knowledge to continue Halo's education.
We have only Suzanne to thank as Halo is the happiest and most well-behaved dog that anyone will ever meet--a true ambassador of her breed!
